Yeeun Uhm
 

Yeeun Uhm is a S.J.D. Candidate at American University Washington College of Law. Her doctoral research focuses on international environmental law with special attention to developing countries and vulnerable communities. She is particularly interested in global climate change regime, climate finance, human rights, and sustainable development. Her dissertation attempts to integrate social and economic issues into the environmental agenda.

Prior to joining the Washington College of Law S.J.D. program, Ms. Uhm worked as an environmental consultant in South Korea. She also worked as a legal intern at the Center for International Environmental Law, a nonprofit organization in Washington DC.

Ms. Uhm received her first law degree from Handong Global University in South Korea and a master’s degree in international legal studies from American University Washington College of Law. She is fluent in English and Korean.

She passed the New York bar exam in February 2019.
